World of Warcraft: Cataclysm in stores December 7

 

The third expansion to Blizzard's popular MMO is in stores in early December. The expansion, which requires the full game to play, costs $39.99 and will be available as a digital download from the Blizzard Store or at retail for Macintosh, Windows 7, Vista, and XP.

 

A special Collector’s Edition packed with bonus items will be available exclusively at retail stores for a suggested retail price of $79.99. It contains a 176-page art book, a behind-the-scenes DVD featuring developer commentary, a CD soundtrack, a branded mouse pad, a starter deck with bonus cards for the World of Warcraft collectible trading card game, and the Lil' Deathwing in-game pet.

 

In Cataclysm, the corrupted Dragon Aspect Deathwing returns to destroy Azeroth. Players explore once-familiar locations around the world reshaped by the destruction, and take on all-new adventures. Cataclysm features two new playable races (Worgen and Goblins), a new level cap of 85, new locations, new levels of power, and much more.
